What Obamabots Need To Know

This post is for the Obama followers. Whether you are an Obamacan( a weak Republican supporter of Obama) or just an every day Democratic supporter, this post is for you. As we approach the final week before Election Day, I thought it was important to bring to light some facts you may have glossed over as you prepare to cast your ballot. There are some important issues that the Obama Campaign has been deceiving you on and this post is simply designed to bring them to light. It's important to be fully informed before you vote, if after reading this you still wish to vote for Obama that's fine by me. But if Obama is elected and you are unhappy with the result because it is not what Obama promised you, you have been forewarned and the fault is your own. 

If You Are Making 50,000 Or More A Year, Obama Is Raising Your Taxes- So, not quite the 250,000 your guy promised is it? You see, what he wont tell you is that by rolling back Bush's tax cuts, it is a defacto tax increase. American Thinker has a helpful table for you to look at:

Obama Might End The War In Iraq, But Will His Policies Start A New War?- As I understand it, a great deal of liberal anger towards President Bush has to do with the war in Iraq and the great appeal of Senator Obama is his promise to "end the war in 16 months." Now because of the surge, this war may very well end in 16 months, but it looks like Obama's blundering on foreign policy may well start another one. When he isn't threatening to invade Pakistan unilaterally  he is promising to send more troops into Afghanistan. From Salon.com

Obama wants to send 10,000 extra U.S. troops to Afghanistan, but wants to withdraw all American soldiers and Marines from Iraq on a short timetable. In contrast to the kid gloves with which he treated the Iraqi government, Obama repeated his threat to hit at al-Qaida in neighboring Pakistan unilaterally, drawing howls of outrage from Islamabad.

But Obama's pledge to defeat the Taliban in Afghanistan will not be easy to fulfill. While coalition troop deaths have declined significantly in Iraq, NATO casualties in Afghanistan are way up. By shifting emphasis from Iraq to Afghanistan, would a President Obama be jumping from the frying pan into the fire?

So, to all of those supporters who think that once Obama takes over all conflict ends, you are going to be in for quite a surprise. If Obama wins he will have a liberal honeymoon period of six months tops before it is fully understood that "The One" may very well turn out as hawkish as Bush. What will liberal bloggers do then?  Biden said Obama will be tested with an international crisis, lets just hope its not of his own making.

You Think Our Deficit Is Bad Now, Wait Until Your Guy Enters Office- All I hear from Democrats and Republicans is that we have to balance the budget. Well, if there is a President Barack Obama you all can keep dreaming. From The Washington Post:

On the campaign trail, Sen. Barack Obama bashes President Bush for "reckless" economic policies that are "mortgaging our children's future on a mountain of debt." But the Democratic presidential candidate has adopted a key component of Bush's fiscal policy: A novel bookkeeping method that guarantees that the $9.5 trillion national debt will get much bigger.

Unlike his Democratic colleagues, Obama has never made balancing the budget a priority. He concedes that he would not be able to do it during his first term, and probably not during his second, either.

As long as he can pass The New Deal Part Deux, what does he care about the deficit? With a rubber stamp congress and a groveling media, "The One" will have no problem spending us into oblivion.

Final Thoughts- I'm a big believer in voting with your eyes wide open. I can't stop you from voting for Obama, but I can give you some details you aren't getting anywhere else right now. Stop and think for a moment about what he is going to cost you and your family. If your big issue is that you hate war, well I hate to tell you, one may end under Obama but others may very well begin. If it gives you comfort to believe the lies about his tax plan I can't stop you from believing them, but the facts are what they are. When you go to the voting booth one week from today I want you to know exactly what you are voting for, so when, to quote Obama's pastor Jeremiah Wright, "your chickens come home to roost" the only one you can blame, is you. Losing A Sure Thing

There is a special talent the democratic party seems to possess, but it is not one I would boast about. Democrats have an uncanny ability to find a way to lose an election they should otherwise win. This is an election where Republicans have been branded as pariahs, the economy is sinking, the war is unpopular, their candidate has a 3-1 money advantage, and yet the Democratic nominee is probably going to lose. I have said this from the outset of my blog, I would be shocked if this guy actually won.

America is a center right Country that may elect a moderate Democrat, but do not usually elect liberal Democrats. The reason Obama has had the success that he has had is that he has been able to transform himself into a "transformational" candidate who will bring "hope" and "change." The propaganda worked for a while, but Obama is exposing who he is, and things are starting to slip away from him.

Landslide Turning Into A Tossup- Obama has been up by huge numbers in many states for the past few weeks, but that is starting to change. Remember what I have said about polls before, they are weighted heavily Democratic and yet McCain is starting to close. From National Review's The Campaign Spot:

A lot of the state polls look pretty bad for McCain lately, but there's been an interesting shift in the tracking polls.

• Rasmussen’s Presidential Tracking poll now shows Barack Obama leading John McCain by four points, 50 percent to 46 percent. At one point, Obama was up by 8.
• Gallup’s national tracking poll of likely voters has Obama leading McCain by two points, 49 percent to 47 percent.
• AP/Yahoo shows Obama leading McCain by two points, 44%-42%
• The Reuters/C-Span/Zogby national tracking survey shows Obama leading McCain by five points, 49%-44%.
• The GW/Battleground tracking poll has Obama leading McCain by four points, 49%-45%.

The other thing is, in most of these, if there's been movement, Obama's been pretty consistent - right around, or just under, 50 percent. McCain's gains have come from undecideds.

Obama Doing Worse Than Kerry In 2004- The Patriot Room shows the average of polls at this time four years ago and Kerry was further ahead then Obama is right now. Think about that, here is a guy who has the media in the tank and more money then any candidate in history, and he is doing worse than Kerry. Obama is doing his level best to buy this election, but he had better hope that money he's spending in prime time will help him, because these numbers are not a good sign for "The One."

Final Thoughts- Obama may very well win this year, he has a terrific get out the vote operation and possesses the money and the man power. But the fact that this election is even a question shows the weakness of this candidate and frankly this party. Republicans can hardly stand McCain, but fear of Obama has galvanized a weakened and weary base.

Democrats, if you lose this, you need to reexamine your party and your platform. If you cannot win in this climate with every possible advantage, you are in the wrong buisness. Obama Extravaganza!

It's Obamamania out there and I for one want to take part! Our pal Obama is everywhere these days and his lead is just increasing by the day. I mean, we all know that there is going to be a massive turnout of folks yelling "yes we can" as they stampede through the voting booth, so why not go with it? The Obama folks are already picking out paint samples for the white house, conservatives are competing over who will be the first to release their blogs and articles about why McCain lost, and the good folks in the media are waiting with bated breath to say "President Elect Obama." This is Obama's party, so just sit back and enjoy the show! (Oh, also, you may want to start hiding some money in the pillowcases, those tax hikes can be kind of brutal.)

Lights, Camera, Obama!- Our pal Obama is getting ready for his "closeup". In an unprecedented move, the Obama campaign has decided to spend Soros's money, oops I mean "his small individual contributions" on a half hour of network prime time shortly before the election, according to The Live Feed. I just hope this ad buy is as riveting as Huckabee's show on fox, because if it is, well we're doomed for sure! Who can resist that level of charm and charisma?

Obama Has Already Won People, So Just Deal With It- I mean really, you pesky conservatives actually want a vote on this election? Well, according to Politico your just wasting your time because, get ready, Democrats are predicting a landside. Like Howard Dean would say, "they are going to take Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida, Ohio and the whole nation, Yaw!" So seriously, don't bother showing up in droves to vote because, well, I've already planned an Obama victory party and that would really mess up my plans. So please, be pessimistic and stay home, that's what good American's do. We don't want to upset Dear Leader, um, I mean President Obama.

Final Thoughts- See, why be pessimistic about the election when you can just flow with it? Admit defeat, stay home, and enjoy the "change." Our current ruler Oprah Winfrey has already anointed Obama as "the chosen one" by endorsing him, so let us bow and be grateful for our imminent ruler.

So, are you sensing the sarcasm yet? Look guys, the way I see it we either do our best and fight for victory, or we become like the lazy slugs who eat bon bons and mindlessly allow our mood and our vote to be determined by the media. You either accept the media brainwashing thats going on or you fight it. If you are going to fight it, fight it all the way until you can't fight anymore. If you are worried about this election, why don't you do something like, I dont know, volunteer and call some folks in swing states. You have to make a decision for yourself and forget the media and the noise. You are accountable to you, are you doing all you can do for a McCain victory? That is the only question, you can't change what others do, but you can decide to fight for yourself and your family. Or you can join the "extravaganza," your move. Until next time...
