Hey everyone I hope you all had a terrific Thanksgiving! I had planned on going back to full on blogging, but to be honest, I am still uninspired. Unlike other blogs that rely on copy and pasting stories, the point of this blog was to offer creative columns about current events and I just do not have that in me right now. I think its a mix of being immersed in the holiday season and a very busy personal life that just does not leave room for politics at the moment. When you write so passionately about something, you need to put all of your creative energy into it and at the moment I am just tapped out.
I have received a few emails from some of my liberal readers claiming the reason I am taking a break from writing is due to the outcome of the election. That really isn't the case at all, if McCain had won I'd feel exactly the same. The truth is is that having a successful blog involves a lot of work that I just don't have the time for right now. Not only does a blogger have to come up with a unique take on the news, but you also have to spend ALOT of time promoting yourself to attract viewers and responding to comments and emails.
My hope is that in January things will go back to normal and we can get back to blogging and chatting as usual. My biggest dread is this blog becoming a burden rather than fun and right now its just not fun for me. There isn't that political energy right now that my writing feeds off of. Check back in January, things should be back to normal by then. Once again I apologize, I know I said I would be back to blogging today, but I really want to write something for you all that's worth reading and I'm just not there yet.
Have a happy holiday and I will be back in January!
Nancy

We'll be here when you are ready. I guess the "change" Obama was talking about was changing BACK to the Clinton administration! What a joke... what a diappointment.

Don't sweat it Nancy, when you're ready you'll be back, and the respite will mean you'll have the stamina to go at it for the long haul. The next four years are gonna be tough on America and we need all the voices of reason we can get. You're a big part of that, so rest up and get ready for January 20th!

You are so right. The liberals do not understand that to have a successful blog, on Conservatism, it does take a lot of work. Though I very seldom resort to copying and Pasting, I know what you mean about running out of stuff to say. It isn't because of losing the election like we did, it is pure and simple, writers block. It happens to all of us at one time or another. Sitting back and relaxing and just living your life usually brings back the creative juices. Another thing the libs don't understand. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and hope your Christmas and New Years will be great too.

Couldn't find a contact link: I'm with rightriot.com and we're wondering if you'd like to exchange links and get traffic from us. Join the site and promote your blog posts there and we'll send you traffic in return.
Also would you mind giving us a post to let your readership know about rightriot.com? We're rebuilding our userbase from a hacking attack and we need all the help we can get from other conservative net people. Thanks!
