Hey everyone I hope you all had a terrific Thanksgiving! I had planned on going back to full on blogging, but to be honest, I am still uninspired. Unlike other blogs that rely on copy and pasting stories, the point of this blog was to offer creative columns about current events and I just do not have that in me right now. I think its a mix of being immersed in the holiday season and a very busy personal life that just does not leave room for politics at the moment. When you write so passionately about something, you need to put all of your creative energy into it and at the moment I am just tapped out.
I have received a few emails from some of my liberal readers claiming the reason I am taking a break from writing is due to the outcome of the election. That really isn't the case at all, if McCain had won I'd feel exactly the same. The truth is is that having a successful blog involves a lot of work that I just don't have the time for right now. Not only does a blogger have to come up with a unique take on the news, but you also have to spend ALOT of time promoting yourself to attract viewers and responding to comments and emails.
My hope is that in January things will go back to normal and we can get back to blogging and chatting as usual. My biggest dread is this blog becoming a burden rather than fun and right now its just not fun for me. There isn't that political energy right now that my writing feeds off of. Check back in January, things should be back to normal by then. Once again I apologize, I know I said I would be back to blogging today, but I really want to write something for you all that's worth reading and I'm just not there yet.

Hey everyone, so like I said a few posts ago the posting until January is going to be sporadic. These next two weeks though it is going to be non-existent. I'm taking time off, I think it's important that every once in a while bloggers to stay fresh just take some time away from politics to avoid monotony. So until the Monday after Thanksgiving there won't be any fresh posting. This blog is not something I do for money but because I have passionate beliefs, but after all the intensity of the election and the every day posting I just need a long break so I can get back my passion for doing this again. So I want you guys to have a great Thanksgiving and I will be back refreshed and ready to go!
All right, so were still in a political lull but that doesn't mean there aren't lots of interesting stories out there. Lets take a look at a few:
You Think You Have Problems, At Least Your Not A Teenager In Nebraska- So we will put this in the category of "these parent's should be ashamed of themselves," Yahoo has the story about parents rushing to abandon their teenage kids under Nebraska's "Safe Haven" Law. Here is an excerpt from the story:
The safe-haven law was intended to save "Dumpster babies" by allowing desperate young mothers to abandon their newborns at a hospital without fear of prosecution. But lawmakers could not agree on an age limit, and the law as passed uses only the word "child."
To the state's surprise and embarrassment, more than half of the 31 children legally abandoned under the safe-haven law since it took effect in mid-July have been teenagers.
You have to read this story, there's a picture of a smiling woman after she unloaded her teenager on the state, to which I say this lady and parents like her are pieces of garbage, just despicable.
Pregnant Man (Who Is Not Really A Man) Pregnant Again- So it looks like somebody needed more attention, just ridiculous, from CNN: Thomas Beatie who was born a woman but lives as a man in Oregon after surgery and hormone treatment, is expecting a second child, Beatie has told Barbara Walters in an interview set to air on television on Friday.
Beatie, 34, who is legally a man but kept female reproductive organs when he had a sex-change operation 10 years ago, is in his first trimester of pregnancy, he told celebrity interviewer Walters for the ABC news program "20/20" that will air on November 14. Walters highlighted the interview on her daytime chat show, "The View," on Thursday.
So Barbara Walters is going to interview this person, why am I not surprised? I know the politically correct thing to do is to applaud this person, but as I think about that poor kid and the endless teasing this kid is going to go through, it just makes me ill. More Proof Al Gore Is All About The Money- So if you’re Al Gore you have to be thrilled with an Obama Presidency right? Even more thrilling for you since your pet issue is global warming, would be a position in an Obama administration so you could actually administer change, right? Well, not so much for Al, he doesn't want to leave his 10,000 square foot house for a lowly cabinet position. After all, where’s the money in that? Washington Times has the story. Here is an excerpt:
President-elect Barack Obama's transition team is flirting with creating a White House "Climate Czar," but climate change crusader Al Gore says he doesn't want the job.
"Former Vice President Gore does not intend to seek or accept any formal position in government," Gore spokeswoman Kalee Kreider said. "He feels very strong right now that the best thing for him to do is to build support for the bold changes that we have to make to solve the climate crisis."
I don't care what your position on global warming is, this guy is too much. Its ok to travel around in your private plane, charge outrageous speaking fees, and live in your huge energy wasting house, but I'm supposed to feel bad if I don’t put mercury loaded light bulbs in my house? Hypocrite. If he really cared he would have lobbied for that job, not dismissed it outright.
The Endorsement Obama Has Been Waiting For, Linda Tripp- Man the Clinton groupies are really coming out of the woodwork aren't they? There are a bunch on Obama's transition team and now Linda Tripp has weighed in on Obama's victory. This really is too much, from WowOWow:
"I am so very proud that as a nation we might finally be getting it right. I believe Sen. McCain is an American hero and a deeply honorable public servant, something one seldom sees in Washington. I also believe he could have been a strong president. That said, I believe President-elect Obama possesses an instantly recognizable purity of soul that, coupled with his brilliance, and, of course, his eloquence, brought quite unimaginable and long-awaited magic to the country, transforming red and blue states, quite literally, into ‘The Color Purple.’ I believe the entire country will stand behind him."
Ok I think this is a moment for liberal and conservative unity, I would like to think this woman makes all of us collectively queasy.

Shepard Smith Says No Bias In Media-I have always laughed at the idea that Fox News is a right wing cable channel, those who say that have never watched anything other then The O'Reilly Factor and even that guy isn't a conservative and is at times even a bit of a buffoon. Speaking of buffoons on that network, Shepard Smith, who had more anger and passion against Joe The Plumber then was remotely rational, makes yet another absurd statement on Fox's The Situation Room. HotAir has the video, its really quite unbelievable, he actually lashes out against the idea that there was any bias in the mainstream media. No, of course there wasn't Shepard, you were just "reflecting the people" like a good journalist, unreal.
Just In Time For The Holidays, "Why Believe In God" Signs Set To Run Through Christmas- From Fox News:
Ads proclaiming, "Why
believe in a god? Just be good for goodness' sake," will appear on
Washington, D.C., buses starting next week and running through
December. The American Humanist Association unveiled the provocative
$40,000 holiday ad campaign Tuesday.
In lifting
lyrics from "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," the Washington-based group
is wading into what has become a perennial debate over commercialism,
religion in the public square and the meaning of Christmas.Isn't this just a perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit?
"We
are trying to reach our audience, and sometimes in order to reach an
audience, everybody has to hear you," said Fred Edwords, spokesman for
the humanist group. "Our reason for doing it during the holidays is
there are an awful lot of agnostics, atheists and other types of
non-theists who feel a little alone during the holidays because of its
association with traditional religion."
The class of these people,
there is no traditional value these fringe groups do not seek to
destroy. I for one just use this as an incentive to decorate more and
sing "Noel" even louder this year.
Critics Say Bailout Plan Is Not Enough- I am just shocked, I mean the 700 Billion was not enough? Who could have foreseen this, oh yeah, every rational thinking person in this Country. I say lets just all stop paying our bills because why do it? The government is coming to your rescue, from Yahoo News:
Once again, the government has offered another plan to help troubled
homeowners. Once again, critics say it doesn't go far enough. The plan
announced Tuesday by federal officials and mortgage giants Fannie Mae
and Freddie Mac sounds sweeping in its approach: Borrowers would get reduced interest rates or longer loan terms to make their payments more affordable.
I'm just so glad we have Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi leading the way in Congress, I mean, they will surely reign in this wasteful spending right? Oh, I guess not, since Nancy Pelosi wants to bail out the auto industry too. Just keep printing that money guys, I'm sure these brilliant plans wont backfire on our economy at all.
Final Thoughts- We are in a bit of a wonderland situation right now where up is down and right is wrong. Rational thought seems to be ceasing, no longer does it matter that we can't afford anything its now ok to spend it anyway. The main stream media's job as explained by Shepard Smith is to "reflect the will of the Country" which is interesting because I thought their job was to accurately present the facts regardless if they were popular or not. Traditional values like the belief in god, something shared by 87 percent of the worlds population according to Gallup, are now attacked and mocked as extreme views. This world is becoming a bit topsy-turvey, so hold on to your hats, things are only going to get weirder. Until next time...
Hey everyone, I hope everyone is having a terrific week so far. First of all I want to thank all of you who have been coming to my blog and writing me and leaving comments. It's been great fun and continues to be a great joy to do. Since this is a political blog in the style of a daily column I use this blog to write about what inspires me politically and use my perspective to hopefully give you a different take on the news of the day. Now that the election is over, this blog, like many others, is in a type of lull period. With the holidays approaching and with over two months to go before Barack Obama is inaugurated, things are going to slow down a bit.
So what this means is that I will try to have new content daily, but some days may be more like my weekend posts which primarily link to other stories of interest for the day. When I set out to write this blog, I wanted to create something original that involved primarily my own writing and my own thinking. As stories come and inspire me I will write original posts and give you my insights. One of the things that tend to bother me about some other conservative blogs, and frankly liberal blogs, is the propensity for redundancy. There are only so many stories folks that can be written from a fresh perspective right now. A lot of blogs are still engaging in postmortem analysis and trying to read the tea leaves about an Obama administration. That frankly does not interest me.
In the coming weeks we may have some political maneuvering and last minute Congressional bills that I will write about in earnest, but I just want you to be aware that for the next little bit this blog may every once in a while be more focused on story analysis then original political posts. Come January 20th, however, things will be back on track. So with that being said, here are some of the stories that I feel are important for today:
Seattle-based Starbucks said profit in the quarter fell 97 percent to
$5.4 million, or a penny a share, from $158.5 million, or 21 cents per
share. The coffee retailer earned 10 cents per share when the costs
from closing about 600 stores in the U.S. and 61 locations in Australia
are excluded.
Yikes, that is not good news for the retail sector. Though I am not a coffee drinker myself, the peppermint hot chocolate they are selling right now is truly top notch, but unfortunately when you overbuild and charge too much things like this tend to happen.
Let The Battle Begin: Gingrich Vs. Steele- From HotAir:
Republicans close to each man say they are intent on ousting Mike
Duncan when his tenure ends in January and to insert themselves to
articulate a counter-agenda to President-elect Barack Obama´s
administration.
A bevy of backers for each man, neither of whom is an RNC member,
have been burning up the phone lines and firing off e-mails as they try
to sway the 168 RNC members in the wake of the second consecutive
drubbing of Republicans at the polls.
Let me just say, both of these guys would be terrific in that post. Micheal Steele puts a fresh perspective on the party and Newt Gingrich is just terrifically smart and tough as nails. In my opinion, if either man wins its a good step for this party and its really a no lose situation.
American Express Gets Piece Of Bailout Pie- Don't get me wrong here, I love American Express, I love it because I love Costco and that's the only credit card accepted there. But to now make this credit card company "an official bank holding company" that is therefore entitled to bailout money is just unreal. From The New York Times:
The Federal Reserve on Monday evening granted a request by American Express to become a bank holding company, giving it access to low-cost financing from the Fed.
The Fed said it had approved the application for American Express
and a related company, American Express Travel Related Services, to
become bank holding companies. The approval represented the latest
reshaping of the financial services industry, which is undergoing its
worst credit crisis in decades.
This is just insanity and of course the responsible tax paying adults of this Country get to foot the bill. Awesome.

There is a tendency when things go off course to over correct, and this is something the Republican party needs to avoid. There is a big rush that is already beginning to take over the media and the GOP, and that is the rush to see who we will nominate in 2012. As someone who is completely mentally exhausted from this election, may I humbly submit that this is just an insipid waste of time? I understand that the GOP had a bad election and I understand that many are worried and already looking forward with fevered hope to 2012, but how in the world can we even contemplate the type of nominee we will need when we don't know what the President Elect is going to do?
The Republican party, since it is the party out of power, is now put in reactionary mode. The President and his Democratic Congress will set the agenda and this is what we need to be reacting too. This is going to be a day by day thing folks and it behooves no one for us to jump too far ahead. The furthest we should be looking ahead to right now is 2010 and not one day beyond. A lot of history happens in four years, the world and our place in it could well shift, so what is important now is to reaffirm our core principles and govern accordingly.
The Democrats have benefited greatly the last eight years because their power has been limited. Despite the fact that Democrats had a hand in this Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mess, the public did not hold them accountable. What I think this illustrates is that perception is power, the Democrats will be given ownership in the minds of the American people of all of the nations successes and failures, and they will be watched carefully.
The American people are a tenacious bunch, both forgiving and condemning, and the Democrats will see both sides of the people soon enough. So, what do we do? What the Republican party needs to do is focus on being the loyal opposition, while working with, but not compromising with, Democrats where we can. At the same time, the Republican party has serious infrastructure work that needs to be done. We have a lot of smart folks on our side and we should be embarrassed at the internet advantage the Democrats have, it's unacceptable and needs to be reversed quickly. In the North East and the West, we need to have a ground game and rebuild our reputation with those folks. People in the North East are being taxed hand over fist, many are unhappy with their own governments. Michigan is a perfect example of this, losing that state, which is the poster child of what can happen under liberal governance, is inexcusable and shows fundamental party weakness.
What this Country needs is for the next Newt Gingrich to stand up and lead this party. To make a contract with America and to keep it's word. We have done it before, we helped President Clinton strengthen the economy, accomplish welfare reform and balance the budget. These are the things the American people count on our party for. The attachment with our party is not emotional for most people, its pragmatic, and when we stopped being that pragmatic party they went with their emotional home base, the Democratic party. Celebrities will never fawn over our party, but the American people will come back if we come back to our principles. Parties in power tend to overreach, I suspect given the early indications the Democratic party will overreach sooner then later. But that's ok, the Republican party will do what it has had to do now for most of recent history, pick up the pieces after a Democratic administration.
Final Thoughts- To try to hone in on a nominee now would be the equivalent of fortune telling and would be just as effective. The Republican party needs to learn political flexibility, the best nominees now may not be what we need in four years. Message and infrastructure, that is all we should be focused on. Barack Obama won, he's not even in office yet, to look forward to 2012 and settle on someone will pidgeon hole this party at a time when we need to be fluid. Republican's are action oriented folks, I understand how difficult it is to wait and react, but for the sake of this party and its political future that is exactly what we must do. Until next time...

Obama May Get National Holiday- Ok, I'm hoping deep down somewhere even those hardcore supporters that peruse this blog will think this is ridiculous. Obama, not even President yet, may get his own national holiday. I'm sorry but this whole adoration of this guy is starting to border on cultist behavior, from Michelle Malkin:
Plans are being made to promote a national holiday for
Barack Obama, who will become the nation’s 44th president when he takes
the oath of office Jan. 20.
“Yes We Can” planning rallies will be at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. every
Tuesday at the downtown McDonald’s restaurant, 1100 Kansas Ave., until
Jan. 13. The goals are to secure a national holiday in Obama’s honor,
to organize celebrations around his inauguration and to celebrate the
200th birthday of President Abraham Lincoln, who was born on Feb. 12
1809.
At 7:30 a.m. on Inauguration Day, Obama Cake will be served at the
downtown McDonald’s, and a celebration is scheduled for 8 p.m. to
midnight Jan. 20 at the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center, 420 S.E.
6th.
So It Begins- President Elect Obama has made "no commitment" to completing the missile shield in Eastern Europe. Despite plea's from Poland, the President Elect is "undecided" about completing the shield. That ought to make Russia Happy. Here is some more change coming from the President Elect, from HotAir:
Transition advisers to President-elect Barack Obama have compiled a
list of about 200 Bush administration actions and executive orders that
could be swiftly undone to reverse White House policies on climate
change, stem cell research, reproductive rights and other issues,
according to congressional Democrats, campaign aides and experts
working with the transition team.
So, for those young evangelicals who helped give Obama his victory, I hope you're proud of yourselves. Since I knew this was going to happen it's not exactly a let down, but for those of you who deluded yourselves into thinking he was going to be moderate on social issues you frankly deserve what you get from this guy. Washington Post Admits Bias- Oh the good ol' mainstream media, the Obama campaign owes them a big thank you and now, finally, a major paper is admitting it. From The Washington Post:
The op-ed page ran far more laudatory opinion pieces on Obama, 32, than
on Sen. John McCain, 13. There were far more negative pieces (58) about
McCain than there were about Obama (32), and Obama got the editorial
board's endorsement. The Post has several conservative columnists, but
not all were gung-ho about McCain.
Stories and photos about Obama in the news pages outnumbered those
devoted to McCain. Post reporters, photographers and editors -- like
most of the national news media -- found the candidacy of Obama, the
first African American major-party nominee, more newsworthy and
historic. Journalists love the new; McCain, 25 years older than Obama,
was already well known and had more scars from his longer career in
politics.
The gist of this story is basically, "we are sorry for being so pro-Obama, but he was just so exciting and new we couldn't help it." Disgusting, these "journalists" need to quit acting like teenage groupies and more like adults. Kids get swayed by "new and exciting", grown ups are supposed to see through it and display some integrity.
Final Thoughts- So, now this week is finally over and I think most of us are ready to move on from this election and see what this new guy does. I know many of you have hope he will govern from the center, but I have yet to see evidence of it. I'll be back tomorrow with an original post, until then...
Once again its the weekend and that means its time for my favorite stories that I highlight on Saturday and Sunday. Here are some interesting stories:
New York, New York Its A Wonderful Town- So a few days ago I told you guys about the cancellation of tax rebates for New Yorkers and the 15 percent tax increase they will be receiving. But come to find out, Bloomberg isn't done punishing those folks. Now Bloomberg is proposing that every bridge into Manhattan become a toll bridge and wants to put a tax on plastic bags. Nice, to me this just reinforces that New York is a lovely place to visit, but if you value your money and your personal freedom I wouldn't live there.
Get Ready For The Stimulus- Well it turns out handing Americans money and bailing out the banks just isn't enough to save this economy, so our government is doing the only thing it can to make this crisis better, borrowing more money from China to give us yet more moneyandprobably bail out the auto industryin the process. I mean it must be nice to be a bureaucrat, you never have to cut your budget you just get to keep on spending. For those of you liberals and fellow conservatives who were upset about the exorbitant deficit spending under Bush, you should hold on to your hats, this new President and Congress is going to make what Bush did look like child's play.
Mandating Service, It's Change We Can All Freak Out From- So the new President elect has added some interesting information to his change.gov site. The Sweetness and Light blog found this:
Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by
developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle
school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college
every year.
Um, I'm sorry, but who does this guy think he is? Let's take a look at that trusty Constitution and see if he's allowed to do this:
Amendment XIII
Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a
punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted,
shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their
jurisdiction.
Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
When Obama campaigned the service requirements were voluntary and you were given money towards College and now its mandatory. Change indeed.
Hey John, You Lost This Campaign Not Palin- Ann Coulter has a terrific column that puts the blame for this loss where it belongs, on the candidate. An excerpt: Republicans lost this presidential election, and I don't blame the
messenger; I blame the message. How could Republicans go after B.
Hussein Obama (as he is now known) on planning to bankrupt the coal
companies when McCain supports the exact same cap and trade policies
and earnestly believes in global warming?
How could we go after Obama for his illegal alien aunt and for
supporting driver's licenses for illegal aliens when McCain fanatically
pushed amnesty along with his good friend Teddy Kennedy? How could we go after Obama for Jeremiah Wright when McCain denounced any Republicans who did so? How could we go after Obama for planning to hike taxes on the "rich,"
when McCain was the only Republican to vote against both of Bush's tax
cuts on the grounds that they were tax cuts for the rich?
Next time Republican Party, run a conservative so we don't have to hold our noses when we vote and so next time the nominee wins more then a paltry 80 percent of the party.

While the world continues to celebrate our President Elect the Country is preparing for a change of power. Transitions are always complicated and difficult, though with the trials this Country is currently enduring, I would say this transition will be even more so. In a way, I almost feel badly for Barack Obama, campaigning and governing are two very different things. He is going to face quite a bit of pressure from within his own party to do their bidding. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi already think they own the place and will try to get Obama to implement their agenda, but Obama is going to have to walk a fine line in both keeping his promises and not going too far left. The democrats overtook the Senate in 2006 because they ran conservative Democratic candidates and this was also the case this year. That was a very smart strategy, but make no mistake, if Obama uses his Presidency to govern too far to the left, the Democratic party will be punished for it. Here are some stories from the transition:
Clinton Leftovers- Picking Rahm Emanuel as White House Chief Of Staff, who Paul Begala calls "a cross between a hemorrhoid and a toothache" was not the olive branch Republicans were looking for. Leading the transition team is John Podesta from the Clinton administration, yes that guy is still around, from My Way News:
Barack Obama is signaling a shift in tactics and temperament as he moves from candidate to president-elect, picking sharp-elbowed Washington insiders for top posts. His choice Thursday for White House chief of staff - Rahm Emanuel, a fiery partisan who doesn't mind breaking glass and hurting feelings - is a significant departure from the soft-spoken, low-key aides that "No-Drama Obama" surrounded himself with during his campaign. And transition chief John Podesta, like Emanuel, is a former top aide to Bill Clinton and a tough partisan infighter, though less bombastic than the new chief of staff.
I have to say the beginnings of Obama's new team is looking less like "Change" and more like "Clinton hacks part deux."
Joe Biden May Be Right About That Whole "World Will Test Obama In First Six Months"- Not even the first six months Joe, how about two days after he's picked? From The Daily Mail: Barack Obama was confronting a looming international crisis just hours after his White House election triumph. The U.S. President-elect faced a triple threat with Russia, Israel and Afghanistan all threatening to test his mettle.
You should check out the entire piece, its a good read and I have to say the best election coverage has come from the British papers. They have been tough but fair, the journalists on our side could learn a thing or two. Especially you, Chris Mathews, who said on Morning Joe, "It's my job to make an Obama Presidency work." What?! I thought your job was to be objective and cover an Obama administration fairly, well at least you're a blatantly partisan joke so I guess its ok.
Obamamania Still Going Strong- There is some positive news for Obama out there, the world is still hyperventilating over his election. Our friends in Antigua want to name their highest peak "Mount Obama." Well, its kind of a step down from Mount Olympus where he's from, but I guess it will do.
Also for you Obama supporters who still want to help Obama with his "Change" there is a website just for you! Its a government website for the Obama transition team, never mind the fact they inappropriately use a .gov website when they have no status as a government agency until January 20th, its all a part of the change. You can enter your personal information which they can keep on file so they can hit you up for money when its time for his re-election. Isn't that just appropriate? You can read the story at Hot Air, or go right on over to Change.gov to see this not at all tasteless website for yourself.
Final Thoughts- So, three days after the election, most of us are left to watch our Country move and shift without representation in our Government. It's an interesting feeling to be completely out of control, watching liberals now have to scramble into leadership roles. There really is a type of peace in this election, all we can do now is watch and report what we see, no longer burdened with having to hold the water for corrupted Washington Republicans.
While I know many are still disappointed and disheartened to see the incoming liberal brigade, but I find there is an element of theater and entertainment to this whole process. My advise to conservatives who are worried, and believe me I have my moments, is to start putting money away slowly and creatively and get your "house" in order. Only you can take care of you, if you take the right steps you can get through these next four years. Sales of guns have risen dramatically, while I don't exactly get the reasoning for that, its always a good idea to keep your home safe, your fridge stocked and your money well invested.
These are volatile times but if you take the time to secure yourself and your family you will alleviate much of your worry. As for the safety of the Country, which according to my emails is the top concern of many of you, the only thing you can do is say a prayer that our next President will be given the wisdom to do the right thing. As Joe Scarborough put it it is now the liberal "Age Of Aquarius". I really don't want to put a damper on the party here, but there is a great deal going on which the new President Elect is going to have to deal with. Not only is Obama going to be quite busy the moment he steps into office, but the Republicans are going to have to get it together. The long knives are out already with everyone looking to blame someone. Now, as I am a bit under the weather today, I am going to highlight a few stories i find interesting rather then writing a full fledged column.
Back In The U.S.S.R- Well, this isn't a happy Beatles song Obama is going to have to deal with, it looks like Putin wants to crawl his way back to power. From Yahoo News:
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev could resign from his post in 2009 to pave the way for Vladimir Putin to return to the Kremlin, Vedomosti newspaper reported on Thursday, citing an unidentified source close to the Kremlin.
So Putin may be coming back, Medvedev wants to build more nuclear weapons systems, man I'm thrilled we have an experience foreign policy guy in the White House...oh wait, well um, inexperience is good too I guess.
Wall Street Not Feeling The Change- So the stock market has the biggest post election slump ever, but don't let that concern you, it has nothing to do with electing Obama. Listen to the media, they are always honest with you. From Bloomberg:

plunge following a presidential election as reports on jobs and
service industries stoked concern the economy will worsen even as
President-elect Barack Obama tries to stimulate growth.
It had nothing to do with him being elected and Wall Street being scared about tax heights, not a thing to do with that.
New York City, Blue State Utopia- I have been told, by a liberal reader or two, that conservatism wouldn't work in "urban areas." Well, its got to work better then what they are doing. In just the latest example of liberal failure, we have the news today that Mayor Bloomberg is going to raise taxes by 15 percent and that 400 dollar rebate New Yorkers were expecting, well not going to happen. As the cherry on top, Bloomberg is also going to have to engage in massive job cuts. Man I wish I lived in a blue state, they govern so well, I can't believe my state of Texas ends up getting so many blue state companies to move over here. I just don't get it. The Long Knives Are Out For Sarah Palin- Well, it looks like the McCain camp won't take responsibility for their loss, so they have decided to blame Sarah Palin. I mean of course, it's Sarah's fault, Sarah made John McCain back the bailout proposal, Sarah forced John McCain to not attack Obama on his associations, you're right anonymous sources in the McCain camp, its all the girls fault.
Final Thoughts- Hopefully the hyperventilating by both sides about the election results can come to an end. We have big problems out there and now we, the American people, are going to have to deal with the results and hope Obama can handle this right.
